31 May 2007, Asked to perform in Leeds in October
Looks like we are starting to make a name for ourselves. We've been approached by Nicholai to do a performance sometime in November for a large gig. Don't know if it will beat our crowd of 1500 people that we played to during the Uni of Sheffield Intro Fiesta last year, but I'm sure it will be excelent as these will all be salseros. I can't wait to play to a different crowd!

19 Apr 2007, Melodics recording begins
Catie (Alto and normal flute), Jan (Violin) and Carolyn (Tenor Saxophone) have put down their first tracks for the CD. The work they have done on arrangements have really paid off. The quality of the presentation (even though it's only guide tracks so far) is already excelent and the musical identity of 4de12 is shining through (you'll have to come and hear us (look to the right----->) or wait for the CD to come out.

Finally managed to find some time in getting the band blog up and running. Took a bit of effort but seems to be there now. Just need to find some muggins in the band to help write some stuff :D

27 Jan 2007, Recordings continue at a hectic pace!
8 of the final 10 songs have had the congas, piano and bass laid down and is already demonstrating a full sound with more groove than you can shake a stick at.
Next on the list is the hand percussion tracks, flute, violin and saxophone guide tracks, timbales, and the melodics again.
The final step will be a surprise, so keep your eyes and ears peeled.

Our melodic section have decided that it is time to nail some of those layered harmonies and create new and interesting ones to bolster our already storming pace of musical development.
This is going to add a great new feel to the great music that 4 De Diciembre produce. The next few gigs will see an interesting change in feel for the band.
